Dr Vilma Di Maria graduated from Adelaide University in 1989, and attained her Fellowship of General Practice in 1995. She spent her early years in general practice focussed on women’s health, during which time she developed a keen interest in dermatology and aesthetic medicine. In 2005 she joined the practice of Howard Webster, and now provides expert cosmetic advice and treatment within ARC Plastic Surgery.
Vilma has been a Medical Educator at the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners since 1996. In addition, as an expert in the use of anti-wrinkle injectables and dermal fillers, Vilma is employed by Allergan Health Care to train doctors and nurses in this area. Vilma regularly travels interstate in her capacity as trainer, and recently flew to Hong Kong to train Chinese health care professionals.
Vilma strives for excellence, integrity and professionalism in all aspects of patient care, and considers all her patients to be equally important, whatever their circumstance or clinical problem. In addition to anti-ageing procedures, Vilma conducts skin checks to identify skin cancers, treats excessive sweating, asymetry in Bells Palsy, migraines, facial pigmentation and general skin health.
In her spare time, Vilma enjoys exercising and keeping fit, as well as wining, dining and cooking.
Vilma is available for consultation at ARC Plastic Surgery’s Hawthorn East and Shepparton rooms.
