Kathy Werner is a Registered Division 1 Nurse, and Practice Nurse at ARC Plastic Surgery in Shepparton. She has a wealth of post surgical skills, with over 30 years nursing experience since completing training at the Royal Children’s Hospital Melbourne and the Royal Melbourne Hospital.

Kathy began her career working in both the medical and surgical wards at Sandringham District Hospital. Shortly afterwards, she moved to the Royal Children’s Hospital, to become second-in-charge of a surgical ward. Kathy then spent two years at Mooroopna Base Hospital supervising all radiographic procedures, prior to taking on the role of relieving district nurse for the Tatura area in Shepparton.

In 1984, Kathy began working as a practice nurse for Mr Peter King, General Surgeon, a position she held for 14 years. She then spent three years with Mr Phillip Asquith, before joining Mr Howard Webster in 2001.

In addition to her original training, Kathy has undertaken a course in wound management by the Wound Foundation of Australia, and has completed Patient Management Training for Photodynamic Therapy. Kathy takes great satisfaction in post-operative wound management and relishes the luxury of being able to spend time with patients.

Outside work, Kathy is committed to keeping fit and active, and to contributing to her community.
