Carmela Watson is ARC Medispa’s Shepparton Dermal Therapist, having 28 years experience in the industry. A local icon, Carmela completed a Diploma of Aesthetic Science in 1986 and soon after established her own skin care business which she managed and operated for 23 years. Carmela was also instrumental in the introduction of innovative treatments to the skin care business in Shepparton.
In 2000 Carmela ventured into laser technology, purchasing her own machine and updating her skills with a Certificate in Paramedical Aesthetics and Laser Operator. By 2008 Carmela was working exclusively with laser technology, and in 2009 she commenced working at ARC Plastic Surgery, establishing the Dermal Therapy unit at the Shepparton Clinic. Carmela has a loyal client base and takes great pride in treating and advising second and third generation patients who seek her services.
Carmela sees a broad cross-section of clientele, drawing on her extensive experience with laser technology and skin treatments. She assesses and treats a variety of skin issues including sun damage, colour correction, age spots, skin tightening and acne. In particular, she employs abrasive laser, IPL (light therapy), microdermabrasion, skin needling, and chemical peels to soften deep facial lines, scarring, refine pores, and treat congested skin.
Carmela has a deep commitment to the Shepparton region, and has plans for further expansion of the Shepparton Medispa. She is a member of the Association of Professional Aestheticians of Australia (APAA) and constantly keeps up to date with advances in skin technology. When not working, Carmela spends her time with her husband and two teenage children and enjoys gardening, as well as other interests.
Carmela is available for consultation at ARC Plastic Surgery’s Shepparton rooms.
